Donate to End Hunger in the United States!

Hopeful child growing tomatoes for food.

The Dinner Garden fights hunger by providing free fruit and vegetable seeds and gardening support to home and community gardeners. We are currently backlogged with requests and need funds to send out seeds!

As of March 31, 2010, we need $45,000 to help our gardeners grow their Spring gardens! Please help!

  1. $1.72 provides 10 different types of vegetable seeds for one family to grow a full garden - that costs less than a one pack of seeds from the store!
  2. $5.00 provides enough vegetable seeds for one family of 7 to grow produce for one year!
  3. $30 provides 100 school children with vegetable seeds to plant a home garden with their families!

DonateNow

With the support of donors like you, we have helped over 48,000 needy families grow gardens! Over 120 community gardens across the United States are growing fruit and vegetables with Dinner Garden seeds. Here are some examples of groups your generous donations have helped this year:

  • The Hitchcock Center for Women planted Dinner Garden seeds for their community garden and for their program to teach these women valuable horticulture skills.
  • Gardens of Gratitude is planting 100 edible gardens in West Los Angeles, California with Dinner Garden seeds.
  • Several Ohio Head Start programs are growing Dinner Gardens in their facilities to teach the children about gardening and to provide healthful snacks for the children they help. They are also sending Dinner Garden seeds home, so the children can grow Dinner Gardens with their families!
  • Project Just Because is handing out 400 of our Dinner Garden seed packs to their clients. Each of these packs will grow a garden for a family!
