Gardening Stuff for Kids!
We may be in the blazing hot days of summer, but before you know it, autumn will be here. Once August and September roll around, you'll be harvesting the last of your fruit and veggies from your summer garden. It will also be time to plant your fall garden! Fall garden crops include vegetables like beets, mustard greens, cabbage, and parsnips. You can also grow spinach, kale, peas, broccoli, kohlrabi, turnips, brussels sprouts, and carrots. Depending on where you live, you may be able to grow many of these vegetables during the winter months because they aren't sensitive to frost. If you live in a place with a lot of snow or where the ground freezes, you'll have to harvest your fall vegetables before the first freeze.
